Mental health podcast trends

The latest edition of a podcast commissioned by Citizens Advice has charted among listeners in Germany. The podcast featured a conversation between Citizens Advice North Lancashire chief executive Joanna Young and her brother, the folk punk singer/songwriter Frank Turner.

The pair discussed the challenges both experienced while growing up with Frank, an ambassador for the charity CALM, explaining how being sent to boarding school at a young age prompted poor mental health during his formative years. Frank’s fanbase is worldwide with a particularly strong following in Germany.

The podcast series, When Life Gives You Lemons, has been funded by the Lancashire and Merseyside Trust and includes topics as diverse as housing, heating benefit, making a will and employment law. The series if co-presented by Joanna Young and University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust lead chaplain Rev Ian Dewar.
