Training provided for top team at St John’s Hospice

How do you make the most of media opportunities?

Management of one of the north’s best known centres for hospice care got in touch recently to arrange training to ensure they can tell their story effectively.

St John’s Hospice serves a wide population across Lancashire and Cumbria.

We worked to decide what kind of realistic scenarios would suit those involved and using my media experience opted to record both TV and radio examples for each of the guests who took part. As a former BBC Health Correspondent knowing how to put people through their paces is second nature but making sure they come away with confidence and a greater awareness of how the media works is key.

Sophy Horner from St John's Hospice said, "Nigel is great to work with: a true professional, and one with a heart. He really takes the time to understand the environment he is working in and is very responsive. I have worked with Nigel on a few different projects and would have no hesitation in recommending him."
